A Women’s Work
This women’s work of beauty
Acts of pain
Shiny days, darkest nights
Blind to the thoughts
But she’s in my sight
This women’s work has a hold on me
Try to let go but I can’t
It’s like my heart yells her name
Ahhhh it brings me pleasure but equally pain
Insane! I feel pushed and dazed
And your productivity fades away
Sneaky and mistreated but you don’t realize
Stop looking from your eyes and start looking from mine
And all I can do is embrace this womens work
For there I am misconscrewed. Misunderstood, unconstructed
While all your ish is perfect and well conducted
Well cry me a river and put my feelings in a bucket
Put it on your hand take a step and chuck it
Because all I am is your dirt
But I just sit here and embrace this women’s work
