“All civilized nations” to work to end the bloodshed in Syria. – President Donald Trump

Last night, the United States launched more than 50 Tomahawk cruise missiles at Syria, according to several reports. The strikes was a direct retaliation for a deadly chemical weapon attack, launched by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad earlier this week, that left more than 80 civilians dead, including 30 children. The initial reports puts the number of U.S. missiles fire from two warships in the Mediterranean Sea between 50 and 60. The strike focused on a Syrian airfield near Homs and reportedly destroyed a number of airplanes and hit the runway. Some officials told CNN, that before the airstrike Russian officials warned the United States against making any “snap judgments” on the chemical weapons attack. It’s still unclear if any casualties resulted from the missile attack.
