OTM: Tell us a little about yourself. What do you do when you’re not modeling?
Jocelin: I’m 23 years old. I’m originally from Arlington and now in Alexandria. Work takes up most of my schedule, but I make sure to go to the gym at least 5 times a week (which is so hard when you’re emotionally attached to your bed haha). If I’m not at work or modeling or in the gym, I’m either playing soccer or hanging out with my friends. I love meeting new people who have nothing but positive vibes! I’m really family oriented, having a big family is a blessing. I love love love the outdoors and warm weather! Hiking, beach, soccer field etcetera is my sanctuary! I’m pretty sure I was a mermaid in my past life. I could go to the beach 24/7!
OTM: Tell us something we wouldn’t know about you.
Jocelin: I play soccer. I’m a huge soccer fanatic. FC Barcelona is my team til my last breath. I’ve been playing since I was 11, and still play now Monday and Tuesday nights. Being on the soccer field is my stress reliever, my escape where nothing else matters! The day I stop playing may be the saddest day of my life (a little dramatic I know haha)
OTM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Jocelin: 5 Years? I see myself living somewhere warm because I can’t stand Virginia’s bipolar weather anymore (haha). Maybe California or Texas. Hopefully already being a successful model and if not, very close to being there, traveling the world with my significant other and just doing everything that makes me genuinely happy.
OTM: If you could give advice to an up and coming model what would you tell them?
Jocelin: The best advice I can give to an up and coming model is to not give up, don’t let people make you think you’re not good enough, and be consistent! Opportunities are not going to be waiting for you if you’re not trying. Be the person to reach out to people. Don’t just sit around and wait for that opportunity to just show up at your doorstep. Get out there and find it! And surround yourself with people who support and believe in you. Get rid of anyone negative. Have fun with it and be comfortable. It’s a little hard at first, but it gets easier. The more you’re enjoying it, the better the pictures come out! Trust me, you can see it in the pictures if you’re not comfortable or enjoying it.
OTM: What’s one word to describe yourself?
